Quality vs. Quantity

Practice…quality vs. quantity. When you have just taken a lesson, developed a new stroke or technique, you want to go out there and practice. Sometimes coaches will say you have to go practice for 3 or 4 hours. Always remember a good solid hour and a half is a great practice if it’s a solid hour and a half. Sometimes, if you practice longer and are only so-so, guess what, you might develop bad habits and might screw up a stroke. So, my best advice to you is to practice a good quality. Even if it’s only for an hour, make sure the quality is high level quality or else bad habits can form and you might not learn the stroke. To get a good quality practice, you can hit against the wall, play with a friend who’s at a same level, hitting crosscourt, hitting down the line, working on hitting with depth, and putting targets on the court. You can even go to your local club and get the ball machine out. Get that repetition in. Really keep hitting, even before going to games. Make sure you are practicing repetitiously over and over. That is how your stroke can become better and it will translate into a match.

Club Hours

The club is open 7 days a week. From 6:30am to 8pm.

Summer hours may vary

The club requires 24 hour notice of cancellation or full payment is due. Clinic groups and matches are formed according to ability and age. We ask that you please respect the pro’s evaluation in matching you with other players. Proper tennis attire is required on court. Shoes must have non-marking soles. The club reserves the right to dismiss without refund anyone whose conduct is detrimental to the enjoyment of the other players. There is one make-up clinic allowed per session. There are no carryovers to the next season.


Liability Waiver: By signing the club agreement, you acknowledge that you or your child are physically fit to participate in any program and further agrees that all exercise and use of all facilities shall be undertaken by his or her sole risk. You agree that JKST, Inc. shall not be liable for claims, demands, injuries, damages or suits of any nature for injuries or his or her property arising out of resulting from use of the services and/or facilities of JKST, Inc.


Loss Waiver: I agree that the Club is not responsible for damage to or loss of my or my child’s personal property while at the Club premises or damage to or loss of my motor vehicle while parked on Club’s lot.
