Mental Toughness
Mental toughness is one of the main components that make up a tennis player. It can be broken down as follows: concentration, motivation, control of emotions and staying in the present.
There are three tenses: Past tense, Present tense, and Future tense.
You as a player must stay in the present tense, which is the most important tense. You can control it by focusing on the now and staying in the now.
The past is gone, and you cannot control the past, so you must not dwell on it (because it is often negative).
You cannot control the future tense. If your mind is thinking about the future, you are not focusing on the present and will make mistakes.
For good mental toughness, it’s simple: Stay in the present!
