We are back !
We believe that Tennis is the perfect safe option to get fit and have FUN! We were happy to open up the club and welcome back our members on June 5, 2020. We can now begin to restore our tennis programs and build them to be even stronger. Below you will find our guidelines for operation to follow while playing tennis at the Gulph MIlls JKST Tennis Club as we MUST be sure that everyone is as SAFE as we can help players to be. We have reimagined how we can better serve you.
What We Are Doing For Your Safety
The club will be sanitized twice daily
The bathrooms will be open but the shower facilities will remain closed. Access to the viewing area will be prohibited.
All players shall arrive at the front desk no more than five minutes before their court time slot begins, and they shall leave the Club promptly after their time slot has expired.
Face masks must be worn at all time by players while on the Club premises, except on the tennis courts themselves.
Physical distancing must be observed at all times, and social congregating or viewing by players or others is prohibited.
Hand sanitizers will be strategically located for use of our players and should be used before and after play and be considered even during play.
Doors, curtains, nets, benches, etc., as well as one’s own face, should not be touched if avoidable.
Players shall be responsible for bringing their own cleaned and wiped water bottles, towels, and equipment; gloves are recommended. Equipment and other personal items should not be shared.
All court reservations are asked to end their session promptly and leave the courts before the next reservation is set to arrive to minimize interaction, and to give the staff an opportunity to ready the courts for the next session.
Singles play is recommended. Doubles play is permissible, although the USTA discourages the playing of doubles. For those who do play doubles, it is important to avoid all incidental contact, fist or chest bumping, whispering strategies to one’s partner, etc. Players shall stay on their side of the court for their entire session.
All players are required to read the Covid 19 Protocols below and sign the waiver prior to playing tennis at club. Parents of minor children are required to sign the waiver.

Julian Krinsky School of Tennis at Narberth
Since 1978, we've been helping players of all ages and levels make dramatic improvements in their games by enhancing fundamentals, focusing on court strategy and creating a competitive and supportive environment. Julian Krinsky, who played on the international tennis circuit, founded JKST. Today, the year-round academy offers two indoor facilities, as well as one of the world's premier summer camps. We are a USTA Middle States Premier Provider.
All our programs are taught by full-time USPTA-, USPTR-, and JKST-trained professionals. Our pros come from around the world and include touring players, a Wimbledon and French Open coach, a Davis Cup Coach, an Olympic Team Coach, All-American athletes and ITF world coaches.
The Great Base Initiative
The Great Base Initiative is the teaching philosophy of the Julian Krinsky School of Tennis. It is a teaching system founded by Steve Smith following the philosophies of tennis teaching master, Vic Braden. The Great Base Initiative teaches players to develop a very strong fundamental base through fact-based instruction. In order to play tennis at a high level, a player needs to start with a great base including instruction, work ethic and character. As part of this initiative we are committed to our 10 and Under Tennis program. In fact, every one of our courts has blended lines to accommodate the program.
Private lessons are available by the hour or half-hour. You and your teaching
professional will arrange your schedule together.
Clinics consist of small group sessions
that facilitate learning through interaction with peers. Clinic times are set for the full season by the club.
Open Court Time
Book an open court and schedule your
own matches or practice time. The ball machine may be reserved by request.
Leagues & Tournaments
From intense weekly leagues to the annual club championship, our leagues and tournaments will spark your competitive fire.
Throughout the season we host tennis social events for adults. It’s a great
opportunity to play recreational tennis
and meet other club members.
